New CT, Coupon and a Grand Opening!

So, I applied to be on the CT Team for Bre of BTA Designs and I was chosen!  She's mostly a template designer but does do some other things.  Here are a couple of the layouts I have made so far using her products:

Made with Jacabean Designs "Contempo Yellow"

Using Traci Reed's "His Playroom"

Using Stolen Moments "Cotton Candy Christmas"

As a Christmas gift to everyone Bre is giving out a coupon to her shop at Scrapable.

And if that wasn't enough she has announced a Grand Opening at Enchanted Studio Scraps.  This excited me because I am a Pixie (site CT) at ESS.

Did you see that?!  A $50 gift card is up for grabs if you make a purchase between 12/30 and 1/3!!

Well, that's it for now.  Hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Merry Christmas!!!

Two New Pixie Layouts

I got a chance to work with Appletini (my favorite drink btw...lol) by Chris Greiser Designs.

This kit is adorable...here are the two layouts that I created:

The first one is from this months December Scraplift Challenge over at Enchanted Studio Scraps.

The second one is a layout I created with pictures of our friend's.  They got a little silly with the camera at dinner one night.

Glitz & Glam and a freebie!

Hello everyone and Happy Black Friday!  Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving.  Right now my family and I are tucked away in a beautiful cabin in the mountains enjoying a break from our regular world.  We do this every year and never get tired of it.

So, let's get down to business.  LOL!  Jackie aka Jacabean Designs has a brand new kit out at Scrapable.  Glitz and Glam is a beautiful kit.  I just love the vibrant blues, browns and oranges in this one.  Here is the layout that I created with it:

If you enjoy this kit, like I know you will, make sure you head on over to Scrapable and see what else she has in her shop.  You are sure to find other kits that you will just love.

And I've made a freebie for you all with this kit.  Here are a couple beautiful bookmarks that you can print at home and use them to enjoy with your favorite book.

Phew..what a weekend

What a full weekend this was for digiscrappers.  DSD (well weekend) was a weekend full of sales, challenges and tons of fun.  I literally spent all day Saturday at the computer.  My hubby was a great sport about it though.  LOL!

I thought I would share just a few layouts I did over the weekend.  All of these layouts were done for challenges over at Scrapable.

Song-Lyric Challenge (I Hope You Dance):

Theme Challenge (Pumpkins):

And a pumpkin recipe to go with that:

And a Midnight Speed Scrap:

Scrapable Blog-It Challenge - Winter

Well, I live in an area of California where we really only see two seasons - Summer and Winter.  I really would rather have Fall or Spring but those, sadly, only last a couple of weeks it seems.  I do like the Winter.  I prefer our Winter weather over Summer...who likes 115 degree days?  Not me.  I love curling up by the fireplace and reading a good book or watching a movie with the hubby and kiddos.  I love the holidays that fall in the Winter months.  I look forward to our week long getaway during Thanksgiving...tucked away in a cabin in the mountains.  I look forward to spending time with family and friends for Christmas.  The Winter brings many good things and a lot of wonderful blessings.

I created a little mini-kit to give to you all as part of the Color Challenge over at Enchanted.  This was our color palette:

This is what I've come up with:

Pixie Hunt Catch Up

I just finished the last week of the hunt. It's been a fun ride and can't wait to hear if I have been chosen. Here are the last three layouts that I created for this challenge.

Week Two was a kit from Chaos Lounge called Forever Young.

Week Three was a kit from Dani Moy Designs called Dot Dot Dot.
And lastly, Week Four.  This weeks kit was from Eva Marina Designs called Roxy.  This was a fun kit to work with.
And....I also was chosen for Layout Of The Day yesterday with this LO!!  So exciting!!

Couple CT Announcements!!

OK...I know I haven't been a very good blogger. If it is any consolation, my personal blog never really made it anywhere either. LOL! I must get better at this part of my duties.

That being said, I have some pretty exciting news. I was invited to join the CT Teams of Totally Twisted Scraps and Colie's Corner. I'm so excited to join two wonderful groups and can't wait to get started!

Swim School - Week 7

This week was exciting for me! We learned how to use blending and the gradient tool. I've always seen this done on layouts and just think that it's a beautiful way to create a layout. Here is mine:

I scrapped a photo of my hubby and I that was taken at a 30th Birthday Party.

Swim School - Week Six

The homework for this week was to create our own elements. I used the Cookie Cutter tool in Elements to do this. In my LO, I created the paw prints and the paper clip. It was very easy to do.

Swim School - Week Five

The Law of Thirds. Something I've NEVER even heard of. Course, I'm pretty new to the digiscrapping world. It makes complete sense but was a bit of a mystery to me. We were given this template:

Basically the object of the rule is to use the dots/squares as your focal points of your layout. Put images either in the boxes or allign faces/images where the dots are. Here is my lei-out:

My daughter's faces are alligned where the two lower dots are.

Swim School - Week Four

The assignment for this week was to create custom Drop Shadows. Drop Shadows are something that took me a while to figure out. I use Photoshop Elements 5 to create my layouts and the preset shadows don't always look right to me. I had to learn how to create my own a different way.

Here is my Week 4 Lei-out:
